Bronzeville Week: #BronzevilleART


In 2012 concerned residents and families of Bronzeville neighborhood organized Bronzeville Week, a week-long series of events designed to return the Bronzeville Arts & Cultural District to its thriving state. Bronzeville week kicks off with the Bronzeville Arts & Cultural Festival. The festival features three stages with diverse entertainment for youth, art lovers and inspirational entertainment, a kids zone, and great vendors providing some of the best food and retail products our community has to offer.

Our youth stage will be hosted by West Care Wisconsin and will feature the following artists:

Our Gospel Stage will be hosted by Ajamou "Heal The Hood" Butler and Markasa Chambers of The Alternative. Artists featured are as follows:

The Center Stage will feature a mix of Milwaukee's own artists, writers, poets and bands. The host for this stage will be yours truly Firey Phoenix! The Band Bazaar, a campaign designed by Timothy Ricketts, founding member of Cigarette Break to support the Milwaukee High School of the Arts is the feature of this stage, and the line up includes the following artists:

It all takes place in the heart of BRONZEVILLE on North Ave. between MLK Dr. & 7th St.
